At this time, where IT are more and more used by companies and a large public, the scholarship system is not spared by theses changes.
The Ministry of Education wishes, and this for several years now, to replace all or part of school textbooks by an software equivalent.
This decision was motivated by the finding that many students suffer of problems due to excessive weight of school bags.
The national education has thought to equip the schools, from the small school to highschool, by ENT (digital binders).
The Horus project is an DWS (Digital WorkSpace), for an important interaction between students and teachers and even parents.
It will allow teachers to offer personalized courses and let students to read its from their laptops (or any other equipment such as Tablet PCs and PDAs for example) in almost all courses.
- Access a wide range of various content: books, course, corrections, press papers, dictionaries, encyclopedia, …
- Manage E-Documents of different type: .doc, HTML, XML, PDF, …
- Access fonctionnalities generaly used in scholar systems: timetable, circulaires, message system, discussion boards, cooperation work tools, …
